Sulfur found near the moon’s south pole

According to Indian space agency ISRO, it’s Chandrayaan-3 has detected sulfur, an element that is usually found near volcanoes, near the moon’s south pole a hints of moon’s volcanic history. If it is found in reserve, will help in building infrastructure on the moon.

The solar-powered Pragyan rover began its quest for frozen water on moon.

Equipped with a chemical analysis tool powers it to beam a laser onto the lunar surface and zap soil particles into a plume of plasma.

This is the first time the element has also been detected near the south pole. Sulfur could even replace moon water while building infrastructure or habitats.
